This is important for all parents, PK -12, because it is the basis on which we will make plans for resources, course requirements and graduation expectations. I am looking for your input and your insights into what knowledge, understandings and abilities they should possess by the time they graduate from Ware Junior Senior High School.
It's an important first step in conversations we need to have as a district to decide our graduation requirements and a document for the state referred to as the competency determination policy. If we know what parents, caregivers, and community members want to see as the outcome of a student's efforts, we can incorporate your ideas into our final document. We have a draft, and we will start there, but there is so much more we can do to refine it so that it reflects the entire community.
This meeting will be interactive. Depending on the number of people joining we may go into breakout rooms to get the main ideas of your input. It will be recorded.
I look forward to working with you on this important start to defining work for the district.
