Superintendent's Message

PLANNING FOR THE FUTURE

In order to assure the district continues to move forward in meeting the needs of all of our students the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) is beginning to undertake a process of building the next District Improvement Plan (DIP).  A DIP is a plan that outlines the district’s vision, how the district will achieve it and the desired student outcomes we want to achieve.  The process is being supported by the District & School Assistance Center (DSAC) to guide the SLT in its work to assure we are focused on the parts of the planning process which will include the following:

  • Gather and Analyze School Data

  • Identify Root Causes

  • Stakeholders Meeting

  • Set Goals

  • Review School Turnaround Strategies

  • Create Improvement Plan

  • 3 year plan
  • Benchmark progress along the way

To ensure the process is inclusive and intentional all stakeholders will be invited to share in the process to provide feedback to the data collected and the strategies identified in addressing the areas of concern.  The DIP will be written for a three year period with a yearly action plan to guide our work, with benchmarks that will be included, in order to monitor our progress.  The DIP will be a document that is forever evolving to guarantee we stay focused and on track to our efforts and goals.

Respectfully submitted,
