2015 Superintendent’s Award – Danielle Brown

This year’s recipient of the Superintendent’s Award is Danielle Brown, a truly accomplished member of the Class of 2015. In addition to an impressive 4.237 GPA, Danielle’s list of academic awards includes the Bausch and Lomb Excellence in Science Award, the John and Abigail Adams Award, and the Sage College award. Also, in October of 2014, Danielle was the Ware High School team winner at the WPI High School Math Meet.

Beyond the classroom, Danielle is actively engaged in her school and community at-large as Vice President of the National Honor Society. Some of her extracurricular activities include the Ware High School band, Community Band, the Ski and Snowboard Club, the Archery Club, Varsity Softball and Volleyball. As a community service-minded student, Danielle volunteered at Red Cross blood drives through the Domestic Violence Taskforce Advisory. Danielle served as a Biotechnology intern, a peer tutor, and has worked with elementary students in the District on Halloween Nights and also the annual Craft Fair.

In the fall, Danielle plans to begin her post-secondary journey in pre-pharmacy studies, with an ultimate goal of obtaining a doctorate in pharmacy. Danielle’s intellect, strong work ethic, and willingness to help others will certainly benefit her as she pursues this rigorous course of study.
