Greetings Ware Families,

What a turbulent year it has been living through a pandemic!  With the end of the year fast approaching I wanted to take a moment to reflect on the year as I look forward with hope for a healthier future.

Since March 17, 2020, our lives have been tipped upside down as we went from being locked down in our homes to learning how to navigate through this global pandemic over these last nine months.  Never in my wildest dreams would I imagine we would be living through a pandemic.  However, I am hopeful that with the rollout of the vaccine our lives will one day return to a semblance of our “old normal”.

Today, as I write these remarks, I am witnessing on the news some of the first doses of the vaccine getting distributed to our first responders and residents of assisted living facilities, which has brought tears to my eyes.  Students and families have missed out on so much since March.  Whether it’s academic, developmental, extra-curricular activities or rites of passage, this pandemic has affected us one way or another.  I look forward to a time when we can get back to the “old normal”, which is now within our sight with the vaccines.  We have learned a lot since the beginning of this era and with implementing safety protocols we have managed to keep students in school through an in-person hybrid learning model without any interruptions.  As conditions change over the next couple of months and improve over time, the District’s learning model will be adjusted accordingly as soon as it is safe to do so.

Until the vaccine is widely distributed, remember we cannot let down our guard.  We still have lots of hard work to do until we all can get through the finish line.  We must continue to implement safety protocols of mask wearing, social distancing, cleaning of hands and surfaces.  Thanks to everyone who has helped us in this battle.  Without your help we never would have been able to continue with our hybrid in-person learning model!

Thank you for your continued support and patience as we continue to navigate through these turbulent times of COVID-19.

Wishing you and your families a Happy and Healthy Holiday!!

All the best,
